Obecnie na naszym rynku istnieje wiele programów antywirusowych, które z założenia mają w pełni chronić nasz komputer przed groźnymi wirusami. Jednak czy aby na pewno antywirusy są niezawodne w walce z wirusami? Oferta antywirusów jest coraz to bogatsza, na rynku programów antywirusowych pojawia się coraz więcej debiutujących firm, które oferują klientom coraz to nowsze rozwiązania pomagające w skuteczniejszej ochronie naszego komputera. Jako zaawansowany już posiadacz PC przetestowałem na moim komputerze wiele antywirusów zaczynając od darmowego avasta a kończąc na bardzo drogim F-Secure. Mimo, iż oferta antywirusów jest bardzo bogata, to nie wszystkie programy są warte swej ceny. Każdy kto zastanawia się nad kupnem antywirusa powinien w szczególności zwracać uwagę na jego skuteczność w identyfikowaniu wirusów i poziom obciążenia systemu, są to jedne z najważniejszych cech dobrego antywirusa. Powszechnie wiadomo, ze największą wykrywalność szkodliwego oprogramowania mają G-Data, Avira i McAfee. Jeśli chodzi o obciążenie systemu to niekwestionowanym mistrzem okazuje się być Symantec, który działając w tle zabiera trochę ponad 10 MB, bardzo dobre wyniki mają też Kaspersky i BitDefender które obciążają około 60 MB pamięci operacyjnej. Mogło by się wydawać, że skoro Avira jest najskuteczniejszym antywirusem, to także jest najlepsza w ochronie naszego komputera, niestety nie ma tak łatwo. W internecie czai się na nas wiele niebezpieczeństw z którymi niestety Avira sobie jeszcze nie radzi. Podstawowymi mankamentami tego antywirusa jest brak zabezpieczenia antyspamowego, brak blokady przesyłu poufnych informacji oraz brak skanera do komunikatorów. Najlepszym antywirusem z którego korzystałem okazał się być Kaspersky IS 2010, mimo iż nie posiada tak skutecznego skanera złośliwych kodów jak Avira, to w pełni radzi sobie z wirusami. Jego największe zalety to posiadanie trybu sandbox, który izoluje przeglądarkę od systemu, posiada blokadę przesyłu poufnych informacji oraz blokadę fałszywych witryn i jeszcze bardzo dużo innych funkcji które niemal w pełni ochronią nasz komputer przed zagrożeniami z sieci. Jedynym minusem tego antywirusa jest chyba wysoka cena, ale dobre rzeczy niestety dużo kosztują. Tak jak wspominałem wcześniej – oferta antywirusów jest bardzo bogata, jednak każdy ma swoje preferencje, którymi się kieruje przy wyborze antywirusa, są użytkownicy którzy szukają jak najmniej obciążającego system antywirusa i w tym przypadku wybiorą zapewne Symanteca, bądź BitDefendera, Jednak istnieja także posiadacze PC-ów dla których najważniejsza jest skuteczność i funkcjonalność i właśnie dla nich najlepszym wyborem okaże się być Kaspersky bądź Avira która w wersji Personal jest darmowa co na pewno zachęci dużą liczbę nowych użytkowników do korzystania z tego programu.
